Jana Van Zyl

Jana is a Director in the Zurich office of Options Group, in the Cybersecurity Division. She specializes in hiring across cybersecurity, OT/ICS security, GRC, Data protection and advanced data and AI roles, including the growing intersection between cybersecurity and AI as organizations adapt to evolving threat landscapes and governance requirements.
Jana will also build the firm’s Life Sciences practice, focusing on cybersecurity, data and AI mandates across highly regulated environments, including financial services. She brings a strong cross-industry perspective, having built Cybersecurity and Data recruitment practices over the past seven years prior to joining Options Group. This experience gives her a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, control environments and the talent landscape across both life sciences and financial services.
She has placed senior professionals across Switzerland, Germany, the Nordics and broader Europe, and conducted searches in English, French and German.
Jana holds a Master of Science in Management from HEC Lausanne and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
Born in South Africa and of Swiss heritage, she divides her time off between the ski slopes and open water kite-surfing.
